PTD Medical Staffing is aware that as a hospital or physician
group, your options for physician recruiting are vast. As a
previous director of one of the largest physician recruiting
companies, I am aware of the large amount of turnover that occurs
within our industry. Unfortunately, this turnover causes a disconnect
in the flow of your physician recruiting. Also, it is not uncommon
that the momentum created from a direct mail campaign can easily
be lost as new recruiters are “assigned” to your
need. There tends to be a certain comfort that hospitals have
that use “big name” companies, regardless of the
success and retention rate of the physicians when they are recruited.
Being a large company does not insure that your needs will be
met, timely or not.
PTD Medical Staffing believes in results and strives to provide
our clients with the right candidate for their specific needs.
Physician competency issues are just the start when it comes
to creating the right “fit”. We spend an extraordinary
amount of time screening the physician and spouse and do not
submit Curriculum Vitaes to clients unless the candidate is
fully informed of the opportunity and, through the screening
process, meets and/or exceeds our client’s expectations.
Prior to beginning a search, a great deal of time is spent with
our clients in order to fully understand the parameters for
the physician they are seeking.
Prior to the interview, an extensive background check is completed
on the candidate verifying education, state licensure, board
certification(s) and any issues that our clients’ need
to know before proceeding with the interview. Because of the
amount of time PTD Medical Staffing incurs, a tremendous amount
of time is saved by our clients and usually; an offer is made
on the first or second candidate presented. At our client’s
discretion, we also will fly to meet with the candidate in person
prior to the interview for further screening purposes. All opportunities
represented by PTD Medical Staffing are placed on various websites
at no cost to the client to increase exposure of their opportunity.
The result of this process is time savings for our clients
and a much quicker placement cycle. Our pricing policy is less
than larger companies due to our internal cost containment policies.
